Felony Cases:
In a case involving a felony, the judge shall fix the amount

Pursuant to the authority of Rule 46 of the Ohio Criminal
Rules, Rule III (5) of the Local Rules of the Chillicothe
Municipal Court, and Sections 2919.251, 2935.15, and 2937.23
of the Ohio Revised Code, the above amounts and formulas are
hereby established and published. The posting of bail or the
deposit of security is for the purpose of securing appearance
only. The forfeiture of the bail or security is not a substitute
for appearance in Court and payment of penalty imposed on
a plea and finding of guilty. Bail shall be in a form authorized
by Ohio Criminal Rule 46. In addition to the amount of bail,
the amounts required by R.C. 2743.70 and R.C. 2949.091 shall
be added to the bail and held by the clerk of the court as
set forth in those sections.

| Special Notice |
The attention of law enforcement officers and personnel
is called to the provisions of Ohio Criminal Rule 46 relating
to bail, especially paragraphs (C) and (D), and also to the
provisions of Section 2935.26 of the Ohio Revised Code, providing
for the issuance of citations in lieu of arrest on minor misdemeanor
cases, except in certain instances.
